WORKSHOP REQUIREMENTS / EQUIPMENT WISH LIST

1) ONE BIG ROOM WITH BIG TABLES, INTERNET CONNECTION, AND SPACE TO SIT DOWN IN A CIRCLE

2) REAL MATERIALS

-pencils, markers
-sketch books or A4 paper for sketching
-A3 paper for final sketch
-a couple of cardboard cutters plus substitute razors
-cut mats
-set of adhesion/glue (pref. liquid & spray) -> will need to glue plastic, paper
-rulers & min. 1 long metal (cutting) ruler
-post it notes
-scotch tape or something to attach sketching stuff to the walls

for model building:
-5x white cardboard, 2mm, 3mm (1x1m)
-foamboard / KAPA boards: 5x 5mm, 10mm (1x1m)
-styrofoam: 2x 5mm (1x1m)
-10m wood strips, width: 3mm, 5mm, 7mm

for lectures:
-huge whiteboard & a lot of felt markers


3) HARDWARE

-student's own notebook
-pref. Macs, but PCs work, too
-beamer (projector)
-scanner
-digital cameras (min. 5) with USB cabling to connect to PC / mac

4) SOFTWARE

-illustrator, photoshop
-MS Visio or omnigraffle
-Google Maps
-FlashLite
-Python / Text Editor for Python
-audio program: wavelab or soundforge or logic or cubase or some open source solution
-powerpoint
